Firefighters here face challenges from high-hazard occupancies, including large golf clubhouses, hotels, and homes ranging from 1,500 to over 13,000 square feet, all primarily covered by a single engine company. With the next-due engine more than 15 minutes away, the crew must operate with a high level of preparedness, versatility, and independence to manage emergencies in this demanding environment.
